DAT offers more than a translation service:
a technology built on your history
For more than 30 years, DAT has translated the technical and regulatory documentation of major industrial and healthcare groups. What sets us apart today is not experience alone: it is a technology platform, built in-house, that puts thirty years of validated translations to work on every new project.
Beyond keyword matching: translation memory that understands meaning
Traditional CAT tools retrieve past translations by comparing character strings. Two sentences with the same meaning but a different wording, word
order, or phrasing are treated as unrelated — and translated from scratch.
DAT's platform searches its translation memory by meaning, not by spelling. A previously translated sentence is retrieved even when it was phrased differently, in a different order, or with different terms - as long as the meaning matches.

One document, the right engine for every sentence
Not every sentence needs the same treatment. DAT's platform evaluates each segment individually and routes it to the most appropriate resource:
- A validated match already exists in memory → it is reused directly, with full traceability back to its origin.
- A close match exists → a self-hosted AI model, run entirely on DAT's own infrastructure, produces the translation, guided by the closest matches found in your own memory, so the result respects your established terminology instead of generating something generic.
- No match exists → the sentence is translated by machine translation,
Quality control based on an industry standard, not a checklist
Terminology consistency: the same source sentence, or the same term, translated differently in different places within a document is flagged automatically. This is the single most common source of inconsistency in large technical documents, and the hardest for a human reviewer to catch by eye across hundreds of pages.
AI-assisted linguistic review, scored against the MQM framework: machine-translated segments are re-examined and any issue found isclassified using Multidimensional Quality Metrics (MQM), the reference standard used across the language industry: error category (omission, addition, meaning reversal, numerical or unit mismatch, terminology that should have stayed untranslated) and severity (minor, major, critical), producing an auditable quality score rather than a simple pass/fail verdict.
Video Localization
End to end
From a single video file to a fully subtitled or dubbed deliverable in 25+ languages. Our pipeline transcribes your audio, translates it through the same memory-driven engine as your written documentation, generates broadcast-ready subtitles (TV or web format), and produces natural AI voiceovers — original soundtrack preserved in the background, everything synced and timed automatically.
- Automatic transcription and subtitle generation (SRT/ASS), TV and web-ready
- Translation into 25+ languages, consistent with your written documentation
- AI dubbing with natural multilingual voices and background audio mixing
- Built-in QA: reading-speed audits and a full linguist review workflow
Technical writing
Turn engineer notes, spec sheets, and existing documents into structured, professionally formatted documentation - automatically, and on your own infrastructure.
Drop in your source material and pick a document type. The engine reads and merges everything you provide, then produces a structured draft: a clear title, an identification block, organized sections in proper prose, bulleted lists where they belong, safety warnings called out visually, and figure placeholders marking exactly where an illustration is needed. The result comes out as a formatted Word document, ready to hand to a reviewer.
What makes it trustworthy, not just fast:
- Nothing invented. The engine drafts only from what you actually provide: any number, value, or instruction it doesn't have is flagged in a dedicated gaps-to-fill section, never guessed.
- Your expertise, not a black box. Every document type — user manual, installation guide, product sheet — runs on an editable template that defines exactly how that document should be written. Domain knowledge lives in a template you control.
- Self-hosted AI. The engine runs on our own servers, not a third-party service — your source material never leaves our infrastructure.
- Built for real inputs. Attach your files as-is; the text is extracted automatically and folded into the draft alongside your notes.

From a pile of raw material to a structured, on-brand document - in hours, not days
A collaborative portal built for reviewers, not just translators
Linguists and reviewers work in a browser-based portal that shows, for each segment, where the proposed translation came from and how reliable it is: memory, AI-assisted, or machine translation, alongside quality alerts, in-document concordance search, and terminology lookup across the full
memory. Corrections made by a reviewer are immediately reflected in memory, so the next occurrence of the same sentence - in the same document, or in the next project - benefits from it.
For teams who work in their own CAT environment, projects can also be exported and re-imported in standard bilingual exchange formats, so your
preferred tools remain fully usable.
Confidentiality, by client, by design
Client memories are never mixed by default: a project can be configured so that only your own translation history is used, with no fallback to shared memory.
Translation itself — including the AI-assisted step — always runs on our own infrastructure, never on a third-party service.
For projects requiring the strictest confidentiality, quality review can also be restricted to fully in-house processing on request. These are project-level settings, confirmed before work begins, not an afterthought.
QUALITY IS AT THE HEART OF OUR PROCESSES
Our ongoing focus on improving the quality of our services has led DAT to create and develop numerous “Best Practices.”
These practices meet the increasingly stringent quality criteria of the
many global companies that rely on us. Over the years, DAT has adopted a
documented business QMS in which each stage of our procedures is
recorded and trackable.
All DAT's quality management procedures are doubly certified:
